私にとって、この世界に在るあらゆる循環やリズムといった要素が創作においてのスパイスです。
これらは普遍的であり、生きるという営みに触れています。
近作は主にインスタレーションを中心に、機械の織り成す規則的な繰り返しと自然の力が作用しあって、素材にコントロール不可能なリズムを与える作品を発表しています。これらのリズムは物事が連なって進行していくこと、そこに生じる矛盾、対極した要素とその間にあるあいまい領域を同じプラットホーム上に映し出す性質を与えているのかもしれません。
設置された作品には、合理的な機能はなく、ゴールもありません。それは残酷であると同時に、余分なものを排除しない子供の遊びの様な寛容さを含んでいるようでもあります。
集められる素材はそのまま多くの隠喩を内包していて、私はその力を借りて作品という物語を組み立てている気がします。この物語が出会う人それぞれの心の中で新たなリズムを奏でることを願っています。

My work is developed from central motivating ideas about life, circulation and rhythm. They are simple, accessible and universal ideas with enormous aspects and powerful stories to tell and I try to allow these stories to flavour the work.
In my recent work, chaotic rythms are created by simple, regular, mechanic
systems. These rhythms affect the materials of work and a transformation
occurs. This process could imply a sense of progress or conflict.
It seems to me that objects/materials contains various inherent metaphoric
possibilities and I borrow this potential power from them to compose my
own story. I hope that the story will grow with each encounter and be capable
of imaginative expansion in the viewer's mind.
